I have recently taken up cartooning as I enjoy capturing those funnier moments in life both in words and in pictures and I hope to liven up my writing services with my funny little doodles. Please enjoy this blog and contribute freely with your thoughts and feedback. Leah
This cartoon gag is one of three ideas I’ve had for some Christmas cards this year. It features the three wise men on their journey to find the new born king!
“If I can earn money writing gags I’ll be laughing!” by cartoonist Leah
Oi Oi!
Did you know that you can earn money writing gags while a cartoonist illustrates the joke you’ve written? Tis true. What a marvelous way to earn money. Start dreaming up one line gags now!
Why? Because when one goes the other is soon to follow.
This gag cartoon was inspired on a business forum when a member was talking about the use of humour to promote products. I made the point that humour could not be used to promote ALL types of product as it might be bad taste and gave this funeral director gag as an example.
Just for fun, have a go at giving it a caption (gag line) of your own!
The funniest caption line writer gets a free link on this ‘ere blog to their own site.
Note: This was going to be my entry to a gag line competition but I forgot to bloomin’ post the pic! The Gag line in that competition was worded by cartoonist Scraggie saying: ‘I think that’s always how it’s been’
In the news today it is reported that the 2011 census survey will be more probing and intrusive than ever before. Including asking for the names and d.o.b’s etc. of overnight guests! See here for more details.
“Ministers will invade people’s privacy by asking “intrusive” questions in the census, the Conservatives are claiming. When the 2011 survey is conducted everyone in the UK will have to answer the questions or face fines.
Details will be sought about the number of bedrooms in people’s homes and information about “overnight visitors”.
